I thought I would take a second to drop a few of my fav things on the planet. There are many great things about life, but these are some of mine.
Misty Rodda – many of you might think I have to say her. But I don’t feel that way at all. Without a doubt, she is the one person on the planet who has always been by my side. She is an incredible woman and I’m very blessed to have her in my life. Check out her blog here and her photography website here.
Stan Rodda – my dad. He was by far the most influential person in my life. I owe all of who I am to him. Where I am at in life is because of his example. I watched him day in and day out for 18 years, before he passed away in 1998. He was one of the greatest inspirations in my life. I want to be like him when I grow up.
Nebraska Cornhuskers – I grew up loving the Nebraska Cornhuskers. There was just something about going to a Huskers game; the fanfare, the psycho, passionate fans. Saturdays in the fall can be pretty crazy in the Rodda house. Come college football season, it’s all about the Huskers. Go Big Red!
Kansas City Chiefs – I remember going to Chiefs game as a kid with my dad. Those were some of the best days of my life. We would have such a good time at Arrowhead stadium. When we moved to Denver, he became a fan of the hometown team, the Broncos. I kept my “true north” and stuck with the Chiefs. Hasn’t been much to cheer for recently, but they are my pro team, forever.
Moe’s – has the most incredible burritos I have ever had. If I had the money, I would eat at Moe’s every, single day. Without a doubt, they have the best burritos around.
Five Guys – one regular order of fries has 71 grams of fat and 1000 calories. If that doesn’t say good, nothing does. Without a doubt, Five Guys has the best burgers and fries in town. You can’t get a better burger. If you have never had Five Guys, come on over. I’ll buy your lunch.
Texas de Brazil – if only the words existed to describe how unbelievable this place is. If you are looking for a date night, anniversary or other special occasion, this might just be the place for you.
Chicken Stir Fry – a little more close to home, this is my most recent homemade favorite. Misty gave this recipe a try a couple weeks ago and it was fabulous. Chicken stir fry with white rice. It was amazing.
Jack Johnson – the dude has a great vibe. Love listening to his music.
Josh Wilson – if you’re looking for some very smooth, worship music, then Josh Wilson might be your guy.
Norah Jones – when it comes to music, I’m not very good at identifying types, genres, etc. But Norah Jones has a great voice and I simply love to hear her sing.
Sara Bareilles – another singer/songwriter I just enjoy listening to. The smooth sounds make it very easy to listen to while I’m working.
The Fray – not sure what genre they would fit under, but love listening to their music. Especially their song, “He Found Me.” Awesome!
Muse – quite possibly the best band on the planet. Nothing compares to a good Muse song.
Chad Simpkins – a good friend of mine and church planter in Chapel Hill, NC.
Daniel Mosley – another pastor in the Chapel Hill area, at The Church at Chapel Hill.
Misty Rodda – my wife has a great blog over at Five Roddas. You should definitely check it out.
Tim Stevens – has a great blog with tons of practical stuff about leadership in the church.
Jody May – is a blogger friend of mine and also the Connections Pastor at Oak Leaf Church in Georgia.
